San Francique Girls into Atlantic finals
San Francique Girls have qualified for the finals of the Atlantic National Primary Schools finals, after their thumping win over Bamboo Government on Monday at the Avidesh Samaroo Recreation ground in Endeavour.
Abbygale Ragoo scored 32, Samatha Hosein 28 and Sheria Hajree 23 not out to take San Francique to 145/7 off their allotted 20 overs. Bamboo Government in response then made 123 all out with five balls of their 20 overs to spare. C Barrassa top scored with 32, while A Cassiram who grabbed 1/19 with the ball earlier on, made 27.
The star of the show for San Francique was Sheria Hajree who bowled superbly to take five wickets for 18 runs. Also in fine form with the ball was Samantha Hosein who nabbed 2/24, as their school entered into the finals on the back of their 23-run win.
At Avidesh Samaroo Park: San Francique 145/7 (20) (Abbygale Ragoo 32, Samantha Hosein 28, Sheria Hajree 23 no) vs Bamboo Government 123 all out (19.1) (C Barrassa 32, A Cassiram 27, S Hajree 5/18, Samantha Hosein 2/24). San Francique Girls won by 23 runs.
