West Indies batsman Darren Bravo showed good form hitting an unbeaten 83 to lead his team Cane Farm into the finals of the UNICOM UWI 2018 T20 tournament, which takes place this evening from 6.30pm.

The defending champions got the better of a fighting Central Sports by four wickets at the UWI Spec ground in St. Augustine. Central Sports took first strike against the star-studded Cane Farm team and made 161 all out in 19.5 overs. Leading the way was UNC Councillor Adrian Ali with 32 off 29 balls. Christopher Vincent smashed a hurried 25 off 12 balls, while Hakeem Mitchell helped himself 25 and Nicolas Pooran 24. The best of the Cane Farm bowlers was skipper Rayad Emrit, who claimed two/26, while Barbadian Roshan Primus took two/26 and Kevon Cooper two/28.

Cane Farm then went to work on getting the target and slipped to 60 for four before Bravo took them home with a typically elegant half century. He was controversially given not out on a run out effort during his innings but he remained focus to carry his side home. His 83 not out came off 57 balls, while Primus returned after his fine bowling to hit 38 off 24. Sunil Narine at the top of the order made 14.

Cane Farm will now await the winners of the Merryboys versus PowerGen clash which was carded for last night at the UWI Spec, to battle for the title this evening.
