25 years of Giving and Changing Lives
The Foundation for the En-hancement and Enrichment of Life (FEEL) is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a reg-istered charitable organisa-tion, donating to those in need and helping to improve the social, economic and ed-ucational standings of every community in this country.
In 1992, FEEL was established by Mr. Clive Pantin with a vision “to assist the disadvantaged of our country to improve their economic, physical and social situations.” He took this vision and made it a reality through the work of FEEL. Over the years that he headed the organization FEEL became a household name and was synonymous with food hampers for the poor and wheelchairs for the disabled. FEEL worked tirelessly on the development of communities through its support for small non-governmental organiza-tions.
In 1995 FEEL worked across the country to encour-age food production through its Tyre Garden project and in 1997, he was instrumental in bringing Habitat for Humanity to Trini-dad and Tobago. In 1996 in a FEEL newsletter, he wrote “FEEL refuses to be part of that section of our socie-ty that is plagued with criticism and negativity. Indeed we cannot be part of it since the very nature of our work demands just the opposite.” It is with this optimism that the Board of Directors, Management and Staff continue the work of FEEL especially as our country faces new fiscal challenges.
To this end, on a monthly basis FEEL provides direct support to over 120 Civil Society Organi-sations that include community based and religious organisa-tions, schools, homes for the el-derly, institutions caring for the homeless, socially displaced, differently-abled and abused, and children’s homes. FEEL provides medical supplies, in-cluding wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, hospital beds and commodes, and donates goods-in-kind to victims of “silent emergencies” - individuals, af-fected by fire, flood, house col-lapse or abuse.
During times of disaster lo-cally and regionally FEEL pro-vides support to affected fami-lies either directly or indirectly, or works through the Regional Corporations and the ODPM to assist individuals.
In addition FEEL assists edu-cational institutions with basic supplies such as cleaning sup-plies, paper towels, photocopy paper, hand soap and other mis-cellaneous items.
Over the last 25 years, FEEL has donated over $140 Mil-lion in goods and services to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
Let’s look and learn all that FEEL is about and its never end-ing work to make a difference in Trinidad and Tobago.
Thank you Mr. Pantin for your work in the service of life and the living!
Please help us to con-tinue his work, donate to FEEL today.
